Digital note-taking is when a student uses a computer to organize study notes and documents. There are several digital note-taking tools that are available to students. These allow you to edit, condense, and connect your notes. Annotating is a common term used to describe adding notes or comments to help explain or clarify information that is on a document. OrbitNote is a common digital note-taking tools used by students.
Pima Community College holds a college-wide license for OrbitNote, which enables students and faculty to
Annotate PDFs with highlights or drawing markups;
Utilize text-to-voice tools within a pdf; and
Support comment text and audio streams.

To access, simply add this tool as a Chrome extension and log in using your student Gmail to activate the license.
While this tool supports highly accessible, student-created or faculty-created annotation of PDFs, there are other tools you may want to consider. These include most Google Tools which are especially helpful for works that are co-constructed by students (e.g. Docs, Slides, Drawings, Sheets).
